Long-distance trips mean more vibration than a 20-minute suburb hop. Use rigid cartons in good condition — soft or dented boxes collapse under stack pressure in the trailer.
Bubble wrap works best when items don’t touch the outer wall directly; add a buffer layer or use dividers for stemware sets.
Artwork and mirrors may need custom crating above standard cartons. If in doubt, ask your mover — insurers often expect professional packing for pieces above a set value.
On labelling, redundancy helps: movers scan stacks quickly; arrows and bold text reduce the chance of a heavy box landing on your glassware.
